During the middle of my residency, I rented a motorcycle and rode up the coast to Peniche, then Porto. At the advice of an artist friend, I visited the Serralves Museum. The main museum building was the classic modern art museum that looked like a James Bond villain lair. On the grounds, I came upon the Art Deco house. It was closed that day, but I was struck by its beauty, and worked for many hours on this piece to capture its perspective.
The world is bad, the world is fucked. But you have to enjoy the nice moments when you can.
