In the movie Interstellar, the robot TARS helpfully quips that "this is no time for caution" when Matthew McConaughey's character has to dock with a space station spinning out of control. Similarly, when a relative stranger invited me to Madeira Island for a long weekend after I had only met her once on Christmas, there was only one choice but to accept this unusual invitation.
