My good friend and fellow artist Elle Sophie invited me to spend New Year's Eve 2023 to 2024 with her family in Regua, Portugal, 2 hours from where I live. We got there late so I didn't get a chance to see the countryside until January 1, 2024, and it was gorgeous. DETAIN TIME is my attempt to bottle that moment of awe and smallness that I felt when staring out at the gorgeous landscape of the Douro valley.
DETAIN TIME is made with acrylic paint on 16x12 inch or 40x30 cm stretched canvas.
