Inspired by the Nintendo 64's iconic controller, ILLUSION OF CONTROL is a sculpture of a game controller. The N64 was my very first game console, so learning to play videogames on it is etched into my brain. So often, we think we are in control of so much, but the reality is our sphere of influence is limited.
